Growing up
We became richer
More advanced
More informed
More knowledgeable
More sophisticated
Wielded more power than we could ever imagine
We also became the people we once despised
The ones we promised we would never grow up into
Looking back at our past, we may scorn at our naviete
Without realising that adulthood has slowly crept up onto us
And turned us all into its prisoners.
Long gone are the faith and innocence of yesterdays
Only to be replaced by the mistrust and corruption of todays.

wow...why paint such a bleak picture...it doesn't always happen...though it does at certain instances of our life...
maybe because of all the things that are getting to me lately...but there is always a thin line between "bleakness" and "reality"...
No way. It's only dark when light is absent. Darkness itself doesn't have enough force to exert a presence of itself own. To even make this notion of "darkness" the subject of my previous sentence is even a weird thing to do, because I do not even believe that "darkness" is a thing on its own. It's merely a lack of something else, namely, light.
My point is that, do look at things from a larger point of view and you may see more. I wish you strength and courage to get by with the stuff that's getting to you.
